I am proud to be part of the Pine Knoll Shores government team. In my seven years as commissioner, I have learned extensively about municipal operations, from financial audits to infrastructure and emergency services.

I have helped guide the town through significant challenges, including recovery from Hurricane Florence, the COVID-19 pandemic, leadership transitions, and strategic planning initiatives.

Married to JoAnne Quinn Ferguson for 53 years. We met my freshman year while attending the United States Military Academy.

Darryl Moore

Born in eastern North Carolina and raised on a tobacco farm, attended Wayne Community College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University.

Married to Michelle since 1981, they have two adult sons, daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren.

After working in corporate agriculture for 40 years, including the last 12 years in sales covering North Carolina, Delmarva, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, retired in January 2025.

Raised Methodist, later became a believer in the Church of God, attended a Baptist church for 18 years, and currently attends One Harbor Church in Morehead City.
