We will have a bulk waste collection on Monday, October 12 and a White Goods Collection on Friday, October 16. Please see below for more details.
On Monday, October 12, Waste Industries will be collecting Bulky Items for pick-up. Bulky Waste items for this special pick up are to be placed out for collection with your normal trash on Monday morning. Bulk waste includes household furniture, mattresses, bedding, outdoor grills (propane tanks are excluded), outdoor furniture, bags of clothing, and small quantities of construction and demolition material (windows, doors, trim boards, vinyl siding, plywood, etc.) normally associated with minor homeowner repairs. Items other than furniture need to be bagged or tied in bundles with long items not to exceed four feet in length. Doors can be discarded in their full length. Batteries, paint, solvents, waste oil, petroleum products, lawn chemicals, fertilizers and pesticide products are considered to be hazardous or special waste and will not be collected. ITEMS SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE CURB THE NIGHT BEFORE.
On Friday, October 16, Waste Industries will be collecting White Goods. White Goods are inoperative or discarded refrigerators, ranges, water heaters, freezers, washers, dryers or other similar domestic appliances or parts thereof. Electronics like TV’s, computers, stereos, video players/recorders, etc. are not white goods. Please call Town Hall (247-4353) by Thursday, October 15 to let us know your address and what items you would like picked up. ITEMS SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE CURB THE NIGHT BEFORE.
If Waste Industries is unable to collect your item, they will leave a tag letting you know.
Second homeowners interested in taking advantage of this service should plan to be here the night prior to pick-ups (10/11, 10/15) to ensure that items are picked up. If you are unsure if your item is a “white good” or “bulky waste”, please call Town Hall and we will let you know.
