Get a disaster re-entry (“hurricane”) pass?

Disaster re-entry passes may be obtained at the Pine Knoll Shores Public Safety Building, 314 Salter Path Road, 252-2472268. Please bring proof of residency or ownership of property in PKS.

 

Volunteer for Town Board, Fire Department?

Volunteer applications are available electronically on the Town’s website or at Town Hall.

Anyone interested in serving as a volunteer firefighter, please contact Public Safety Director William Matthias, 252-247-2268.

 

Find out if I need a building permit or tree removal permit?

Please contact the office of the Pine Knoll Shores Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer at 252-247-4353, ext. 18.

 

Get gate cards and park stickers?

Pine Knoll Association residents should contact Association Secretary Kathy Kimel, 108 Beechwood Drive, 252-240-1717.  PKA's website is www.pineknollassoc.com

PIKSCO residents should contact Association Secretary Linda Cumberland, 126 Loblolly Drive, 252-247-4818.

 

Get my water & lights turned on?

Water connections and service problems are now handled by the Town Water Department, 252-247-4353 ext. 26. Electrical service is provided by Carteret Craven EMC, 252-247-3107.

Cable service is provided by Time Warner Cable, 252-223-5011.

 

Get a garbage container & collection service started?

Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection are provided by Waste Industries.

Waste Industries will provide refuse containers for a fee by calling 252-223-4176.

To report a problem with collection, please call Waste Industries at 252-223-4176.

It is not necessary to call Town Hall or Waste Industries to schedule regular weekly household garbage collection, just place on right of way in container not exceeding 35-gallon capacity. Containers should not be placed for collection prior to 12 hours before scheduled collection (7:00 a.m.) and should be removed within 12 hours after collection.

 

Get an NC drivers license and license tag?

North Carolina drivers licenses are obtained at the NC Drivers License Division located on Arendell Street in Morehead City, 252-726-5586.

North Carolina vehicle license tags are obtained at NC License Plate Agency located behind Morehead Plaza in Morehead City, 252-726-7695.

Call the office of the Building Inspector, 252-247-4353, ext. 18, to have copies prepared at $0.25 per page. The Town Code of Ordinances is also available on this website by clicking on Code of Ordinances on the homepage.

Contact Carteret County Elections Office, 1510 Live Oak Street, Beaufort, 252-728-8460.
