To get assistance from a Pine Knoll Shores Police Officer 24/7 call County-Wide Dispatch at the Sheriff's Office (252) 504-4800 ask for a Pine Knoll Shores Police Officer and explain situation.

Does a dog need to be on a leash?
All dogs need to be on a leash no longer than 16 feet long. The leash needs to be in hand at all times.

Are vehicles allowed on the beach?
Vehicles are allowed on the beach only with a permit and must have a commercial fishing license.

Can a fire be built on the beach?
No fires are allowed on Pine Knoll Shores beach.

Can guests park a vehicle on the right of way overnight?
Vehicles may not be parked on the town right of way between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 6 a.m. without permission from the Pine Knoll Shores Police Department.

Does Pine Knoll Shores have a public recycling facility?
Yes. The Town has a public recycling receptacle and a public cardboard recycling greenbox both located in the parking area behind Town Hall. Although the recycling receptacle has openings marked for the deposit of glass, aluminum, etc., materials do not need to be separated. The Town of Pine Knoll Shores offers biweekly curbside recycling pickup (every other Thursday). Recyclable materials (which also may be co-mingled) include aluminum cans, steel cans, plastic containers, glass (no drinking glasses, window glass, light bulbs, mirrors, or dishes), plastic (PETE and HDPE), newspapers, magazines not over 1/4" thick, and mixed papers (no window envelopes).
