Yes. The Town has a public recycling receptacle and a public cardboard recycling greenbox both located in the parking area behind Town Hall. Although the recycling receptacle has openings marked for the deposit of glass, aluminum, etc., materials do not need to be separated. The Town of Pine Knoll Shores offers biweekly curbside recycling pickup (every other Thursday). Recyclable materials (which also may be co-mingled) include aluminum cans, steel cans, plastic containers, glass (no drinking glasses, window glass, light bulbs, mirrors, or dishes), plastic (PETE and HDPE), newspapers, magazines not over 1/4" thick, and mixed papers (no window envelopes). For a recycling calendar, please visit Town Hall or call 252-247-4353 for more information.
